Universal DMX Control:
This function allows you to use a universal
DMX controller such as the Elation
®
Show Designer.™ The use of a
DMX controller will allow you to customize the use of fixtures allowing
you independent control of the color wheel, shutter (allowing you to
strobe and blackout), and iris. This will allow you to create your own
programs.
A. The FS-150SCI™
is a three channel DMX fixture.
B. When using a DMX controller and setting up for DMX operation,
please see page 9 for DMX address settings.
C. For help running in DMX mode consult the manual that comes
with your DMX controller.
FS-150SCI™ Operation
FS-150SCI™ Operation
Master / Slave Operation:
This function will allow you to link up to
16 units together. In this mode, the units will all react to the commands
sent by the “Master Unit’s” built-in controller.
A. Use XLR cables to daisy chain the fixtures together. Remembering
the female XLR is the output, and the male XLR is the input. For
longer cable runs we suggest using a terminator.
B. With the supplied two foot DMX jumper, connect the built in control-
ler to the first unit in the chain. Connect one end of the cable to the
female XLR out jack on the controller and the other end to the male
XLR in jack located on the lower front end of the unit.
B. Locate the dip switches on the front of the unit. Set dip switch one
to the on position and be sure dip switches 2-9 are all set to the
off position.
C. Plug the units in and flip all the power switches to the on position.
D. Use the “Master-Unit’s” built-in controller to select the different
colors and to control the various features. The remote func-
tions will be explained on page 7.
Stand Alone:
Use this function when you will be using the FS-150SCI
as a stand alone spot light. In this function you use the built in controller
to control all functions of the FS-150SCI.
A. With the supplied two foot DMX jumper, connect the built in control-
ler to the unit. Connect one end of the cable to the female XLR out
jack on the controller and the other end to the male XLR in jack
located on the lower front end of the unit.
B. Locate the dip switches on the front of the unit. Set dip switch one
to the on position and be sure dip switches 2-9 are all set to the
off position.
C. Plug the unit in and turn the power on.
D. Use the built-in controller to select different colors and to control
the various features. The remote functions will be explained on
page 7.
