The Escape Logger can be configured in just a few simple steps. The following steps are an
example of how easy it is to get going with basic functionality:
1. Connect the logger to your PC using the USB cable and wait for the logger to mount
its internal Micro SD card as a USB drive on your PC as “ESCAPELOG”.
2. Create a copy of the loggers automatically created “_config_default.txt” file and
rename it to “_config.txt” which you can edit to customise the logger.
3. Set the RTC time as described in section TBC.
4. After the logger RTC time has been set it will start logging which will be indicated by
the green LED (G1) flashing on each data sample.
5. Once you have logged your data, press the “USER” switch to save the log file which
will cause the red LED (R1) to turn on.
6. Reset the logger and wait for it to mount the internal Micro SD card as a USB drive
on your PC. It should then show the log files on the drive containing the data you
have logged.
7. Copy the log files off the logger and then delete them if required. Each time the
logger starts it will create new log files if required.
More complex configurations are described in this manual depending on the required
application.
