Fully loosen the retaining screw from underneath the base frame, and (Fig. 15b/
Item L). Remove the cover (Fig. 15a/Item M) from the cutting unit. The counter
blade (Fig. 16/Item F) and the cutting unit (Fig. 16/Item G), can now be removed
and checked. Worn or damaged parts must be replaced. Use only the appropriate
parts from the Manufacturer (see “Ordering replacement parts”).
Clean the cutting compartment, the counter blade and the cutting unit and cover
them with a thin coat of vegetable oil before installing everything again. At the
beginning of the new season the counter blade must be correctly adjusted as
described on page 18.
To assemble, proceed in the reverse order, making sure that the cutting blade is
properly aligned (note the curvature of the blade teeth). Ensure all the screws are
tight, and then re-adjust the counter blade as described on page 18.
