Choosing a place in the garden
Choose a place in the garden for your cold frame. The cold frame must be screwed to a level baseplate, or
the ground must be level around the area of the side panel so that it can be fixed to the ground with the earth
pegs (23).
Assembly
To assemble the cold frame you will need a light hammer and a pocket ruler.
Before assembly, please read the instructions very carefully and study the pictures closely. When fitting the
profiles to the plastic web panels always check the length of the profiles and only fit them to the plastic web
panels when you are sure that you have the correct profile.
Ideally, you should lightly grease the edge of the plastic web panel or the profile with cooking oil or fat. You
will then be sure to tap on the profiles gently with the heels of your hand or a hammer. Check that the plastic
web panels do not have any burrs on the cutting edge. If burr is present, you must remove it by carefully
scraping it with a knife.
When mounting the profiles, make sure not to damage the edges of the plastic web panels. Check the profiles
against the item numbers in the list (on this page) and also according to their lengths. Please follow the order
described in the illustrations.
