background image

Mount the safety cover (8) on the motor
head (Fig. 4) and secure with screws (see
arrows/Fig. 5).

Insert the skids (10) into the safety cover
(8) (Fig. 6).

6.2 Assembling the handle

Fit the handle (5) on the tube and position
at the appropriate place (A) (Fig. 7).

Then secure with the fastening screw (Fig.
8).

6.3 Assembling the transparent safety hood
(flower protection)

The practical transparent safety hood (11) can
also be fitted when you want to carry out
cutting work on flower beds, walkways etc.

Mount the transparent safety hood (11) on
the machine (Fig. 9). Make sure that the
edge guide (12) is positioned above the
safety hood.

Then turn the safety hood in the direction
indicated by the arrow over the locking
knob (9).

Finally, turn the locking knob (9) through
90° (Fig. 10). The guard hood is now
locked in place (Fig. 11).

To dismantle, proceed in reverse order.

7.  Proper use

The trimmer is designed for cutting lawns and
small areas of grass in private and hobby
gardens.
Tools for private and hobby gardens are not
suitable for use in public facilities, parks and
sport centers, along roadways, on farms or in
the forestry sector.
For the tool to be used properly it is imperative
to follow the instructions set out in the
manufacturer’s directions for use.

Important! It is prohibited to use the tool to
chop material for composting because of
the potential danger to persons and
property.

8. Before starting up

You can set your optimal working position by
adjustments to the height and to the additional
handle.

Height adjustment:

Place the grass trimmer on a firm surface.
First slacken the union nut by turning it in the
direction of the arrow (see Fig.12). Then set
the required length and retighten the union nut.

Adjusting the additional handle:

Place the grass trimmer on a firm surface.
Slacken the screw (Fig. 13/Item A) and move
the additional handle to its optimal position.
Lock the handle in place by tightening the
screw.

Adjusting the tilt of the long handle

Place the grass trimmer on a firm surface.
Press the pedal (7) at the side of the motor
housing with your foot (Fig. 14). Now you can
set the long handle to the required tilt. To fix
the selected angle of tilt, release the pedal and
let the long handle snap into place.

9. Starting up

The grass trimmer is designed only to cut
grass.
The grass trimmer has a fully automatic line
extension system. If the line of the grass
trimmer is shortened during operation to a
diameter of approx. 240 mm, it will be
automatically extended to the maximum cutting
width (approx. 300 mm). This ensures that you
can cut you lawn with the perfect cutting width
at all times.

Note:
If the line is too long when you use the
machine for the first time, the surplus end
of it will be cut by the blade on the safety
cover.
