5. Before starting the equipment

A) Notes:

Always place the portable equipment on a firm,
horizontal surface.

The machine must always be in an upright
position.

Connect the equipment to the correct socket
outlet (check the mains supply voltage).

Secure the equipment in addition in order to
prevent it from toppling (see section 5.C)

Please note that the minimum distance between
the equipment and the wall must be 20 cm to the
side. The minimum distance to other objects at
the front must be 1m.

The equipment must never be tilted, moved or
emptied while switched on or while connected to
the power supply.

Only ever move the equipment when the water
tank is empty and the equipment has been
disconnected from the power supply.

Use only clean, cold tap water or distilled water.

Never add any scents or fragrances to the water.

Ionizer: Ionization of the air can create a climate
which can otherwise only be found at the sea or
in mountainous regions. It reduces the
concentration of microorganisms in the air and
helps with the oxygen enrichment of the blood
and with the development of resistance to germs
and allergies.

Never use the equipment in rooms with excessive
concentrations of oxygen (e.g. in laboratory
rooms or in rooms in which oxygen-producing
devices are used).

The settings which have been made are shown
on the control panel. The applicable LEDs shine.

B) Fitting the castors

If the castors are supplied separate, place the
equipment on a soft surface (for example a carpet)
with the rear side facing downwards in order to
prevent damage.
Press the axles of the castors into the holes provided
on the bottom side of the equipment.

Note:

Never use the equipment without the castors.

C) Wall mounting (Fig. 5)

To prevent the equipment from toppling during
operation, it must be secured to the wall before you
put it into operation.

Read the safety instructions in section 1.

Important.

Make sure that there are no electric

cables or other installations (for example water pipes)
near the drill holes.
Ensure that the equipment is secured firmly and
horizontally to the wall. You must always ensure that
a distance of at least 100 cm is kept between the front
side of the heater and other objects. Do not let hot air
blow onto combustible objects; it is imperative to
observe a distance of 1 m. Use only suitable
fastening material.
The supplied dowels and screws are suitable for the
following: Concrete, natural stone with a dense
structure, solid brick, solid limestone bricks, solid
lightweight concrete bricks and aerated concrete.

1.

Screw the angle bracket (A) to the rear of the
housing with 2 ST4x12 screws.

2.

Drill two vertically aligned holes with a diameter of
6 mm each at a height of 695 mm and 700 mm
into the appropriate place on the wall.

3.

Press the dowels into the holes. At the bottom
hole, turn a ST5x50 screw into the dowel until
approx. 5 mm of the screw still projects out of the
hole.

4.

Raise the equipment into position, press it back
and lower it again. In doing so, the larger round
hole and the screw head must be at the same
height.

5.

Secure the equipment with the second screw.

D) Filling in water (Fig. 1 / Fig. 6)

Make sure that the drain plug (31) on the bottom side
of the water tank is firmly plugged in. Open the water
tank (5) and fill it with cold water until the water level
indicator (6) points to “max” (approx. 3 l). For more
effective cooling, place the frozen cooling elements –
which have been previously frozen in a
freezer/freezer cabinet – in the water tank. Close the
water tank (5) again.

6. Operation

Important. Before using the equipment for the first
time, check that the voltage supply is the same as the
voltage details set out on the rating plate.
Read the safety regulations in section 1.

6.1 Starting up

Before using the equipment for the first time or after a
long period of rest the equipment may emit an odour
for a short time when running in heating mode. This is
not a fault.
