Use this procedure to replace faulty sensors. 

Read and understand all instructions  
(including those for the heat gun and solder 
sleeve) before performing this procedure.

Use this procedure on not more than 20% of the 
sensors in a Net (i.e., 6 of 32, 12 of 64, 25 of 128, 
or 51

 

of 256). Contact EGI regarding any Net that 

requires additional repair. 

Needed Kit Supplies 

 Wire strippers 

 Heat gun 

  Wire splicing fixture 

  Heat resistant pad 

 Pipette 

 Bucket 

 Replacement electrodes 

  Tyco solder sleeves 

 Replacement sponges 

 Replacement stickers 

 Instructions

 

To ensure that you do not damage your Net, use this procedure 

only

on Nets containing standard, nonshielded, CANSL-compatible sensors;

on one sensor at a time;

in a designated heat-safe work area; and

in a well-ventilated area. 

Step 1 – Replace the Sensor in the Net 

Before starting, recognize the parts of a sensor:
