Installing & Setup the Driver
Windows Me users

Click the Windows
[Start]
button, select
[Settings]
from the
menu that appears, and
select
[Control Panel]
.

In the Control Panel,
double-click the
[Sounds and Multimedia]
icon.

In Multimedia
Properties, click the
[Audio]
tab.
In the
“MIDI Music
Playback”
field select
[EDIROL UM-2 MIDI 1]
.
MIDI devices correspond to
MIDI ports as follows.

Click
[OK]
.

Use a MIDI cable to connect the
MIDI OUT 1
connector
of the UM-2 to a MIDI sound module.

Start up
Windows Media Player
or
Media Player
,
select a MIDI file, and play back.

If you are using the UM-2
with a sequencer, do not
disconnect the MIDI cable
connected to the UM-2
while a song is playing
back.
Depending on your settings,
“Sounds and Multimedia”
may not appear in the
“Control Panel.” In this case,
click
“View all Control Panel
options.”
