Preparing to Install Rear-Facing
Never place a child rear-facing in a
seating position with an active frontal
airbag. This can result in serious injury
or death.
This child restraint must always face the rear
of the vehicle and be in the fully reclined
position when the child is less than one year
old.

Preparing to Install LATCH
Rear-Facing
Pull Pad Off Corners of
Child Restraint
Pull the pad off the front
corners of plastic shell.
1.
Routing LATCH Belt
Insert the hook with
adjuster through the rear-
facing belt path.
2.
Pull Hook Across to
Opposite Side
Reach under pad and pull
the LATCH hook across the
plastic shell. LATCH belt
MUST
be under pad and in
front of buckle strap.
NOTE:
You must use the
1st or 2nd buckle strap
slots when rear-facing.

Replace Pad Over
Corners
Make sure the LATCH
belt is not twisted.
