IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE, READ ALL THE SAFETY 

INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED IN THIS MANUAL CAREFULLY. 

IT WILL GIVE IMPORTANT ADVICE ON THE USE, 

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING OF THE APPLIANCE. 

KEEP THIS MANUAL IN A SAFE PLACE FOR FUTURE 

REFERENCE.
When using electrical appliances, the basic safety rules 

specified below must be followed to reduce the risk of fire, 

electric shock and personal injury:
• Before using the appliance, check that the voltage of your 

appliance corresponds to the voltage of your mains supply.
• Do not plug the fan into the mains until it has been 

completely assembled.
• Ensure that no packaging material (polystyrene, plastic, 

etc.) is left between parts. If necessary, vacuum clean.
• When in operation, the fan must be placed on a horizontal 

and stable surface to prevent it from overturning.
• Ensure that the cord is not trapped behind the appliance, in 

drawers, behind shelves, etc.
• Do not put the cord under the carpet or cover it with rugs. 

Keep the cord away from walkways to prevent people from 

tripping over it.
• To avoid the risk of fire, do not block the air inlet grille. Do 

not use the appliance on soft surfaces, such as a bed, where 

the openings could become blocked.
• To avoid the risk of fire or electrocution, do not place the 

appliance near windows with curtains.
• Do not place the fan in a damp place or where there is a lot 

of moisture (such as in a bathroom).
• Do not use the fan near a bathtub, shower or swimming 

pool.
• Do not use the fan in or beside a window. Rain can cause 

an electrical hazard.
• The appliance must not be exposed to splashes or drops of 

water.
• Do not submerge the appliance in water or other liquids.
• Do not place objects on the appliance as this may pose a 

risk of fire.
• Do not use the appliance near flammable objects.
• Do not use the appliance in places where there are 

flammable gases or explosive dusts.

• This appliance has been designed solely for domestic use.
• Do not use the appliance for purposes other than those for 

which it has been designed. Any other use that has not been 

recommended by the manufacturer can cause a risk of fire, 

electric shock, physical or material damage.
• This appliance is for indoor use. Do not use outdoors.
• Do not use this appliance with an extension cord.
• Do not use this appliance near fire.
• To minimise any risk of fire or electrocution, do not use the 

fan with a speed controller, a frequency converter, an electric 

programmer or any other device that can operate the fan 

automatically.
• Do not touch the fan with wet hands. 
• Do not spray the inside of the fan grille with insecticides or 

liquids.
• For safety reasons, never leave the appliance unattended 

while it is in operation.
• Do not turn on this appliance if the blades are cracked or 

damaged.
• Never insert fingers, pencils or any other object through the 

grilles while the fan is in operation.

• Ensure that you turn off the appliance and unplug it from 

the socket when not in use, and also before moving, cleaning 

or changing the position of the fan.
• Ensure that the fan is unplugged from the mains before 

removing the protective grille.
• To disconnect the appliance from the mains, do not pull on 

the connection cable, always use the plug.
• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years or 

above, providing that they are supervised or have been 

instructed on how to use the appliance safely and they 

understand the risks involved. Children must not be allowed 

to perform the cleaning and maintenance operations 

normally carried out by the user, unless they are 8 years old 

or above and are supervised. Keep the appliance and cord 

out of the reach of children under 8 years old.
• The appliance can be used by people with reduced 

physical, sensorial or mental capabilities or with a lack of 

experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or have 

received adequate instructions on how to operate the 

appliance safely and if they understand the risks involved.
• Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play 

with the appliance.

• Do not place heavy objects on the cord or heat sources 

nearby. The cord could become damaged. 
• Ensure that the cable does not get trapped by the 

appliance itself, by a drawer, behind shelves, etc.
• Do not use the fan if the power cord or its plug are 

damaged.
• If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced by the 

manufacturer, their authorised technical service or similarly 

qualified persons. Do not try to fix it yourself. This will avoid 

unnecessary risks.
• In the event of abnormal situations, turn off the appliance 

immediately and contact the seller.
