10. SOFTWARE 

 

dp:lab

 software 

 
The DP300 processor works together with the 

dp:lab

 software which allows 

the remote configuration of all device parameters  from a standard PC or 
laptop with following specifications: 
 

- 

Intel P3 processor or equivalent at 600 MHz. 

- 

128 Mbytes of RAM memory. 

- 

Windows 98 SE, Me, XP Home, XP Professional or Windows 2000 operating system. 

 
With the use of this software application, the operating mode, the crossover filters and the input and 
output equalizations can be configured in the same aspects as would be done from the unit itself. 
The communication between the PC and the DP300 unit is done with a serial RS-232 cable (included 
with the DP300). 
 
Attention! In order to achieve a successful communication between the 

dp:lab

 software and the DP300, 

the “MIDI mode” configuration on the DP300 must be set to “PCPort”, and the selected MIDI channel 
should be number 1. 
 
Once the unit has been configured on the PC screen, the program can be directly uploaded to the 
DP300 via serial communication. 
 
Installing the 

dp:lab

 software 

 
The first step consists in installing the application software on the PC which will serve as programming 
platform. For this purpose, the software setup program version 1.32 (V132) is available. Future 
improvements or changes may alter this version number.
