Configuration of the LAN gateway
As described in chapter 4.5.1, the following LAN gateway parameters must be configured:

Configuration of the computer connection in LDSWin
In LDSWin the details of the store are to be entered in the Store dialog under the section “Change
name/telephone” and the IP address of the LAN gateway in the field “IP address”.
Following this open the store dialog and select the
Settings
option from the
File
menu. In the dialog which now
opens select the option
Computer connection via
under the tab
General
and select the parameter
Network
.
5.2 Configuring the serial connection to LDSWin
For serial communication between LDSWin and the LAN gateway the serial interface on the LAN gateway
marked CAN2 must be employed. For this, a corresponding cable for the connection of CAN bus and serial
interface must be used, see chapter 4.3.
The serial connection between LAN gateway and LDSWin behaves in a manner analogous to the direct serial
connection with the CI 3000 store computer.
For configuration purposes, the desired store is to be selected from the option
Settings
under the menu
File
. In
the dialog which now opens select the option

and select the
parameter
Serial interface
.
The interface labelled RS232
cannot
be used for communication with LDSWin! This is
reserved for the exclusive use of the monitor interface.
