Clean daily.
1. Close choke (Cold Start Position). This prevents dirt from
entering the carburetor throat when the air filter is removed.
Brush accumulated dirt from the air cleaner area.
2. To take out a air filter, loosen both clamps of air cleaner and
remove filter cover as shown.
3. Clean and inspect the element for damage. If element is fuel
soaked and very dirty, replace it.
4. If element can be cleaned and reused, be certain it:

1. Use a clean rag to remove loose dirt from around fuel cap and
empty fuel tank.
2. Use the fuel line hook to pull the fuel line and filter from the
tank.
3. Remove the filter from the line and install the new filter.
