Assembling
Front (loop) handle installation
1. Front (Loop) handle.
2. Handle bracket.
3. Four screws (M5 x 35).
Position the handle in a comfortable operating position and tighten screws (M5 x 35).
The cutting attachment should be 5 - 7.5 cm above the ground and as level as possible.
Plastic shield installation
1. Shield.
2. Plastic sleeve.
3. Output shaft.
4. Wing nut.
5. Washer.
6. Bolt.
7. Bearing housing.
8. Cut off knife.
1) Remove plastic sleeve from output shaft.
2) Remove wing nut, washer, and bolt.
3) Snap the shield over the bearing housing.
4) Install bolt, washer and wing nut.
Nylon line head installation
1. Output shaft.
2. Fixing plate.
3. Bearing housing.
4. Locking tool.
5. Nylon line head.
1) Rotate the output shaft until the holes in fixing plate and in bearing housing are aligned.
2) Insert locking tool through these holes.
3) Install nylon line head to output shaft rotating clockwise.
4) Remove locking tool.
Nylon line head

Adjusting nylon line
Hit knob against the ground surface lightly. 1. Tap knob. 2. Nylon line comes out.
Make sure there is no bystander within 15 m radius and pay enough attention to objects in
the surroundings before starting operation.
Do not rotate the cutting head at more than 10000 r/mim.
Do not hit the cutting head against hard foreign matters such as rocks, concrete, tree stub
and bottle etc.
When releasing nylon line from spool hit tap knob of spool against the ground surface lightly
at rotation speed lower than 4500 r/min.
Cut off knife on the shield adjusts cutting swath to 40 cm automatically by cutting nylon lines
evenly when attachment starts rotating.
When operating with less than maximum cutting swath (40 cm), cut two nylon lines in equal
lengths.
CAUTION
Install the handle so that it does not hide any of the safety decals.
WARNING
The cut off knife on the debris shield has sharp edges.
Avoid contact when installing or removing the line head.
CAUTION
Do not operate the trimmer without the shield in the correct position.
CAUTION
Stop the engine before handling the nylon line head.
CAUTION
Use only flexible, non-metallic line recommended by ECHO.
