Running

The saw chain should not move at idle, otherwise serious 
personal injury may result.

Note:  If saw chain moves adjust carburetor according to 

“Carburetor Adjustment” instructions in this manual, or see 

your dealer.

1.

After engine starts, allow it to 

return to idle and warm up before 

using.

2.

Move chain brake lever (A) fully 

REARWARD to UNLOCK chain 

brake.

3.

Squeeze squeeze throttle trigger 

lock (G) and throttle trigger (F) 

gradually and increase engine 

speed.

4.

The chain starts running when 

the engine reaches clutch 

engagement speed (see 

technical data page).

5.

Confirm proper acceleration and lubrication of chain and bar.

6.

Do not run the engine at high speed unnecessarily.

7.

Be sure that saw chain stops moving when throttle trigger lock (G) and 

throttle trigger (F) is released.
