1. To power the radio using batteries, open the battery compartment and insert 3 D batteries. Make sure
the battery polarity is correct.
2. To power the radio from the network, plug the power cord into the socket.
3. Use the band switch to select AM (medium wave) or FM (ultra short wave) bands.
4. Turn the sound control from the position until you hear a click sound. Continue to turn the control until
you achieve the desired volume.
5. Use the tuner to tune the desired station.
6. Adjust low sound frequencies by switching the tone control to the “NEWS” or “MUSIC” position.
7. The device is equipped with a stereo headphone jack (3.5 mm) compatible with most commonly
available stereo headphones (not included). The device speakers are automatically switched off upon
connecting compatible headphones into the jack. The speakers begin to play once the headphones are
removed from the jack.
8. Turn the radio off by turning the volume control to the left until you hear a click.

If you power your device explicitly from the network or you do not plan to use the device
for a longer period of time, remove the batteries. Otherwise you risk the batteries of leaking out and
damaging the device.
