INTRODUCTION
Read the instructions before use in order to avoid damaging the device.
POWER
1. AC power: plug one end of the power cable into the socket on the back side of the device and the other
end into a standard electrical outlet.
2. Using batteries: insert 8 “C” batteries (not included) into the battery compartment on the bottom side of
the device and respect the polarities labelled on the bottom of the compartment.
•
The device does not operate on batteries providing the power cable is plugged into the electrical
outlet.
•
Replace the batteries if the indicator light goes off, the volume decreases or the sound becomes
interrupted.
•
Use quality batteries and check them regularly. We recommend using alkaline batteries.
•
Do not mix new batteries with used ones.
•
Use batteries of the same brand and type.
•
Batteries shall not be left inside the device if dead or if the machine is not used for a longer period of
time. They could leak and damage the device. The warranty does not cover battery leaks.
HEADPHONES (NOT INCLUDED)
Headphones with a 3.5mm jack and 32 Ohm impedance can be used. Speakers are automatically disconnected
when headphones are connected. Set the
VOLUME
to low, prior to using headphones, and increase the
volume as necessary. Do not increase the volume too extensively. This could cause hearing damage.
CONTROLLING THE RADIO
1. Switch the function selection to
RADIO
.
2. Use band selection to select
AM
or
FM
.
3. Tune the desired radio station by turning the frequency band tuner.
4. Use volume control to set the volume as necessary.
5. For best results, pull out the telescopic antenna and adjust its direction.
6. To turn the radio off, set the function selection to
TAPE (OFF)
.
CD/MP3 PLAYBACK
Set the
function
selection to
CD/USB
and insert a CD or stick with MP3 files.
Upon inserting the CD into the compartment, songs will begin playing automatically.
PLAY/USB (Pause) mode and stop mode
1. Press the
PLAY/USB
button to start playback. The LCD display will show the scheme
represented on the right. If there is no CD in the device, the LCD display will read
“NO
DISC“
. Once the song data is loaded, the number of the song currently being played
and time lapsed will appear on the LCD display. The player will play the songs in order.
2. Press the
PLAY/USB
button to pause playback. Press the button again to resume playback.
3. Press and hold the
PLAY/USB
button for playback from a USB stick. Songs stored on
USB sticks are automatically played in order. Press and hold the
+10
button.
4. Press and hold the
PLAY/USB
button to resume playback from the CD. The LCD display will show
information about the CD being played.
5. Press the
STOP
button to stop playback. The LCD display will show the total number
of songs and the track length.
