specified by the manufacturer. Local codes shall govern installa�on of relief devices. For
safe opera�on of the water heater, the relief valve must not be removed or plugged.
The unit must be installed on a fire retardant area, and must be away from all
combus�ble materials. Clearance should be 1.75 � to the le� and right side of
combus�ble materials, and 6.75 � to the front.
Open on three sides and an overhead clearance of 36”
