When remounting the back wheel, make sure that the washers are in the correct place and the torque
arms are tightened. The torque arms support the motor's torque into the frame, becoming essential for
safety.
Your brushless hub motor needs no oil or any service.
c. Display
The display screen shows all relevant parameters like speed, trip distance, battery level, and support
level. The assistance level can be adjusted via the UP/DOWN buttons.
The system can be programmed according to model specifications (SW-LCD
or KT-LCD), with details attached in the appendix.
ATTENTION:
Changes in programming can lead to damage of the
system, which will forfeit the warranty. Increasing power will reduce
battery range and overall lifetime of the product.
d. Brakes
The brakes are the most important feature of a safe ride. Please make sure that both brakes are
working at all times. They need to be readjusted as soon as they wear off and the brake levers are
getting too easy/loose to pull. There are two adjustments methods for left and right brake pads. Make
sure the pads are not touching the brake disc when freewheeling.
When the brake pads are worn down completely, they need to be replaced. A strange sound while
braking and a loss of braking power are indicators that the pads are worn down and the thickness of
the pads must be checked.
e. Suspension
The suspension fork can be adjusted to fit the rider’s weight (preload turn on
top of the fork) and can be locked out in case the rider prefers not to have a
suspension effect. A few drops of oil on the diver tubes every few months will
keep the fork in good working condition.
Depending on the model, the rear suspension is either a single air shock
(FAT-E) or a double air shock (MTB-E) with lock out. The air pressure needs
to be adjusted to suit the rider’s weight and terrain, at max. 200psi with a
special shock pump. Make sure there is always enough air inside the shock
to prevent damage.
ATTENTION:
The back suspension bearings need to be checked after every
ride and if loose, fasten to keep the mechanics working.
