SWITCHING ON YOUR DEHUMIDIFIER

Before connecting it to the mains you should
ensure that the pump outlet hose at the back
of the machine is connected to a permanent
drain. The drain can be up to 3m above the
dehumidifier. The pump hose has a snap
connector near the back of the machine.

Plastic Fronted Machine

Connect to mains power (230-240V) and turn
the main control knob to the high speed fan
symbol (3 fan blades) for maximum
extraction. The green dehumidifying indicator
will illuminate.

 Metal Fronted Version

Connect to mains power (230-240V) and turn
the machine on. Set the fan speed to high for
maximum extraction. The green
dehumidifying indicator will illuminate.

 Running your Dehumidifier
Pump

 – The dehumidifier will now extract

water and store it in the pump tank, when this
is full it will automatically empty via the outlet
hose. The red light will illuminate when this
happens.

2 Speed Fan (where applicable) –

Pro

Series dehumidifiers are fitted with a 2 speed
fans. This allows the machine to run in quiet
mode as required in occupied premises.
Extraction is reduced in quiet mode.

Hourmeter (where applicable)

 – The

hourmeter is activated in dehumidifying mode
only – the fan must be running.

Pump Purge Switch

– This allows the pump

tank to be emptied prior to moving the
dehumidifier. See on completion of drying.

Compressor

 – To protect the compressor,

you should allow 5 minutes between
switching off and on again.

Defrosting –

At lower temperatures ice will

form on the cooling fins inside your
dehumidifier and therefore must be defrosted.
All models feature an automatic defrost
system which will clear any build up of ice.

IF YOUR DEHUMIDIFIER FAILS TO

OPERATE

1.

Check that the plug is fully pushed into

the socket and is switched on.

2.

Check with some other electrical device

that the wall socket is “live”. If it is not,
contact a qualified electrician.

3.

Check the fuse in the plug. If you

replace the fuse, refit with a 13Amp
fuse.

4.

Check the main control knob is turned

clockwise or the on/off switch is
switched on as appropriate.

5.

Should none of the above remedies

work, then disconnect from the mains.
Contact the help line on 01388605061.
DO NOT attempt to repair the unit or
unscrew the outer casing

ON COMPLETION OF DRYING

To prevent any spillage of water when moving the
machine, switch it off and let it stand for 10
minutes to allow any ice to melt and drain into the
pump tank. Any residual water in the tank can
now be pumped out by switching the machine
back on and using the pump purge switch.
Empty water from the hose by draining it below
the dehumidifier and disconnect it using the snap
connector.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

OPERATING YOUR DEHUMIDIFIER

The amount of moisture removed by your
dehumidifier will vary according to the
conditions in which it is operating. For
example, operating in very cold temperatures
will reduce water extraction levels.
The time taken to dry an area will depend on
the size of area to be dried and level of
moisture beging with. To achieve maximum
benefit from your dehumidifier, you should
ensure:-
a)  It is connected to the mains at all times

via plug and socket, and the fan is set to
high speed.

b)  The pump tube is connected to a

permanent drain

c)  It is not switched off for long periods of

time

d)  Doors to areas not to be dried are kept

closed

e)  External doors and windows are kept

closed as much as possible

HOW YOUR DEHUMIDIFIER WORKS

Your dehumidifier draws the moist air,
cooling it to a temperature where excess
moisture will condense, thereby
removing the excess moisture. This in
turn dries anything in the immediate area
which is damp. The moisture is collected
in the water container. The air is
rewarmed and passed back
approximately 2ºC warmer.

INTRODUCTION
