Section 1 -‐ Warranty and Service
THREE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY COVERAGE
What does this limited warranty cover?
Earthbound RV, LLC (Earthbound) warrants its recreational vehicles against defects in workmanship and/or
materials, except as specifically excluded (see 'What does warranty not cover?').
How long does the coverage last?
This limited warranty lasts for 3 years and the warranty period begins on the original retail date of purchase.
Coverage terminates if you sell or otherwise transfer ownership of the recreational vehicle. To obtain benefits of our
warranty, the original owner must be properly registered with Earthbound within thirty (30) days of original date of
retail purchase.
What will Earthbound RV do?
During the warranty period, Earthbound will repair or replace defects attributable to Earthbound, and Earthbound
reserves the right to substitute components or parts of substantially equal quality.
What does this limited warranty not cover?
•
Damage related to any and/or all modifications made to the recreational vehicle by someone other than
Earthbound.
•
Any recreational vehicle that is used for commercial or rental purposes, or any use other than recreational
travel and camping.
•
Normal deterioration caused by wear and exposure, such as, but not limited to, fading or discoloration of
fabrics, upholstery, flooring, exterior components, etc.
•
Routine maintenance items, such as, but not limited to, inspections, lubricating, resealing of exterior
components, tightening of fasteners, light bulbs, fuses, cleaning, and adjustments, including but not limited to
doors, drawers, LP pressure, and slide room systems.
•
Imperfections which do not affect the suitability of the vehicle for recreational purposes.
•
Damage to electronics due to voltage issues/fluctuations.
•
Consequential and incidental damages or charges including, but not limited to transportation, fuel, food,
lodging, towing fees, car rentals, on-‐site service call fees, or loss of use. Some states do not allow the
exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not
apply to you.
•
Guarantees, representations, and/or warranties made by any person beyond the scope of this limited
warranty.
•
Recreational vehicles that are licensed, registered, or primarily used outside of the United States or Canada.
•
Recreational vehicles which are not originally sold through an authorized Earthbound dealer.
•
Damage or loss caused in whole or in part by the acts or omissions of any kind by any party other than
Earthbound.
•
Damage or loss of use due to abuse, misuse, neglect, theft, lack of routine maintenance, or vandalism.
•
Tires and batteries.
How do I obtain warranty service?
•
Notify the dealer where you purchased the travel trailer, any authorized Earthbound RV dealer, or
Earthbound RV, LLC with 10 days of the discovery of the defect in material or workmanship attributable to
Earthbound within the warranty coverage period.
•
Promptly schedule an appointment with an independent, authorized Earthbound dealer for repairs.
•
Pay any freight or transportation cost, import duties, fees, and all incidental expenses associated with
obtaining warranty service.
Regardless of any other arrangements for warranty service, Earthbound RV, at its sole discretion, reserves
the right to require the warranty repairs to be performed at Earthbound's manufacturing facility in Marion,
Indiana.
