4 Configuration
The Hmi-Tu requires no configuration and its status
is not displayed in the Sonix Administration Software
(SAS).
4.1 Unit ID
To make use of the status reports by the Sonix Hmi-
Tu, each Hmi-Tu on a system should have a unique
identifier, called a Unit ID or assigned number. This
number, between 1 and 31, is used to identify the unit
for Eaton diagnostics only.
Unit ID can be set using special software. Please
discuss with an Eaton representative for further
information.

Any customisations should be discussed with your local
Eaton representative before ordering.

6 Maintenance
The Hmi-Tu unit itself does not require any specific
maintenance but the following general maintenance
should be performed monthly:
Warning:
Remove power from the unit before
proceeding!
• Check the unit for visible damage (scratches,
bumps).
• Check connections and cable integrity - replace
damaged cables, tighten terminal connector’s
loose screws.
• Check unit fixing to rack - tighten loose screws.
• Remove dust and dirt from front panel - clean
with a dry cloth.
Notice:
Do not use sharp objects, water, aggressive
cleaning agents or solvent to clean the unit.
