Table 19: Summary of SWD device parameters

Device parameter
definable on

SmartWire-DT reaction

with option activated

easy800-SWD

Stop on SWD error

easy800-SWD behaves as follows in the event of SWD error and

• with option activated: easy800-SWD switches to STOP mode.

• with option deactivated: easy800-SWD stays in RUN mode, the circuit diagram

continues running.

All devices are

optional

The activated option causes the “Mandatory station” option adjustable on the station

to be no longer taken into account. The SWD line can be run with any number of failed

SWD stations.

A missing SWD station causes

• the PRSNT diagnostic bit to be set to 0

• the DIAG diagnostic bit to be set to 1

• with the option activated, that no SWD error is reported,

• with the option deactivated, that easy800-SWD checks the set “Mandatory station”

device parameter.

SWD station

Compatible devices

permissible

If easy800-SWD checks this option, it has already determined that an “incorrect”

SWD station is present and that the station is not a universal module.

easy800-SWD checks the option whether compatible devices are permissible.

• With the activated option, easy800-SWD checks whether the station found is

compatible with the station expected by the target configuration.

If this is the case, no SWD error is reported.

If the station found is not compatible, an SWD error is reported.

• with the option deactivated, the SWD error is reported

Compatible stations are shown in

Table 12.6Page 363.

Required station

This device parameter is only evaluated if the “All devices are optional” parameter is

not clicked on easy800-SWD.

A missing SWD station causes

• with the option activated, an SWD error to be reported.

• with the option deactivated, no SWD error to be reported

Replaceable with

universalmodule

An “incorrect” SWD station causes easy800-SWD to check whether the SWD station

present is a universal module. If this is the case, the SUBST diagnostic bit is set to 1.

Furthermore

• with the option activated, no SWD error is reported.

• with the option deactivated, an SWD error is reported, easy800-SWD switches to

STOP mode and the data exchange is interrupted.

If the SWD station present is not a universal module, easy800-SWD checks whether the

“Compatible devices permissible” option is activated.
