Step 3:
Turn the generator OFF at the generator control panel.
This will prevent unexpected activation of the generator.
Step 4:
Connect the Engine Generator Start wires to terminals 1
and 2 or 2 and 3 on the J-5 connector on the ATC-100
Controller (Figure 17). This contact is CLOSED (when the
controller sends the command for the engine to start.
N. O. becomes N. C. and N. C. becomes N. O.. The cus-
tomer chooses the appropriate contact for their engine
start circuit.) whenever the engine generator is needed,
and should be connected to a generator controller.

connect directly to a starter solenoid or ignition
