2.3.3. Module Hot Swap Feature

93PR UPS is modular and scalable power system designed for present data center. Hot

swappable modules such as universe power module (UPM), Swappable Static transfer switch

(STS), communication module (CM), display module HMI etc. can fast response data center

critical requirements, shorten system maintenance time within 5 minutes, minimize system

maintenance time (lowest MTTR) and maximize system availability. As critical power system,

93PR UPS has highest UPS availability and reliability.

2.3.4. Variable Module Management System (VMMS)

Eaton Variable Management Module System (VMMS) is a key component of Eaton EAA. Eaton

VMMS technology maximizes UPS efficiencies at low load levels while supporting the load with

continuous doubleconversion power but increase the system efficiency by dynamic adjusting the

UPM active and idle.

2.4. Software and Connectivity Features

2.4.1. Customer Interface

Mini-Slot Communication Bays — there are three communication bays for mini-slot connectivity

cards.

Mini-slot cards are quickly installed and are hot-pluggable. See

Chapter 5

for additional

information.

2.4.2. Power Management Software

Intelligent Power software products offer tools for monitoring and managing power devices across

the network. See

Chapter 5

2.5. Options and Accessories

2.5.1. Field Installed UPM

A Field online Installed UPM (hot-swappable UPM) can be installed in the cabinet any time in the

future when power needs upgrade. This enables the UPS system to grow with the business, thus

lowering the initial investment required for the system.

In order to install an hot-swappable UPM, the UPS cabinet needs to have upgradeability, which is

determined by the power rating of the static bypass. For listing of upgradeable configurations.
