SVGA Super Video Graphics Array. A graphics display
system for PCs that supports 800 x 600 resolution
(480,000 pixels). SVGA can support a palette of 16
million colours, depending upon the amount of video
memory installed in a system.
USB Universal Serial Bus. This is defined as a “plug and
play” device that can be fitted into the printer. In the
printer, a USB socket is provided to enable a USB
mass storage device to be inserted. The device can
contain information that the printer can use to
restore, or can be used to create back-ups, etc.
Unicode An international coding scheme for written
characters and text, each of which is identified by a
16-bit code between 0000 and FFFF. The code
conforms to a Standard maintained by the Unicode
Consortium and ISO organisation.
VGA Video Graphics Array. A graphics display system for
PCs that provides a resolution of 720 x 400 pixels in
text mode. In graphics mode, the resolution is either
640 x 480 (with 16 colours) or 320 x 200 (with 256
colours).
Webserver Program that allows users to view information on the
printer from a remote connection using a web
browser such as Internet Explorer.
X-Offset Printer setting that displaces the print across the
print head.
Y-Offset Printer setting in which virtual white space area is
prepended to the printout.
