Intended Use
• This article is suitable for use as a decoration indoors and out-
doors. The bowl can be planted with

tions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.

Batteries
can be deadly if swallowed. Keep batteries and the article out
of the reach of children and animals. If a battery is swallowed,
seek medical assistance immediately.

CAUTION – Danger of Burns from Battery Acid!
If a battery
has leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes and mucous mem-
branes to come into contact with the battery acid. If you touch
battery acid, rinse the affected area with abundant fresh water
immediately and contact a doctor as soon as possible.

Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in
the article and on the batteries are clean, and clean them if
necessary.

Use only the battery type speci

ed in the “Technical Data”.
■
Always replace all batteries together. Do not use batteries of
different types or brands, or batteries with different capacities.
When replacing batteries, ensure the correct polarity (+ / –).

Take the batteries out of the article when they are dead or if the
article is not going to be used for a prolonged period. This will
prevent any damage if a battery leaks.

Protect the article from: collisions, heat, sub-zero tempera-
tures.

Store the article in a dry place and at room temperatures when
it is not in use.

Do not take the article apart and do not attempt to repair it. In
the event of any damage, please contact our customer service
department.

Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents for clean-
ing. These can damage the surface.

Unpack the items supplied and check them for completeness and
for possible transport damage. If you should

damage, do not use the article(!), but contact the customer service
department.

2 x 1.5 V batteries of the AA type are required. These are
not supplied with the article.
Inserting / Changing the Battery
The battery compartment is located inside the decorative column.
1. Take off the bowl.
2. Reach into the decorative column and pull the battery com-
partment down out of the holder. To do this, pull the holder
forwards slightly.
3. To open the battery compartment,
fl
ip up both catches and
open up the battery compartment cover.
4. Take used batteries out if necessary and insert 2 new 1.5 V
batteries of the AA type. Pay attention to the correct polarity (+
/ –) (see inside of battery compartment).
5. Flip the battery compartment cover shut again and
fl
ip down
the two catches so that you feel and hear them engage.
6. Insert the battery compartment back into the holder.
If the performance of the article diminishes or it starts to
fl
icker, the
batteries should be replaced.
Use
1. Positioning the Article
– Set up the article in a suitable place.
2. Switching On
– Move the On / Off switch on the decorative
column to the
I
(On) position to switch on the LED.
TIMER:
The LED lights up for 6 hours before automatically
switching off. It can be switched back on again at any time by
moving the On / Off switch to the
0
position and then back to
the
I
position.
3. Switching Off

Move the On / Off switch to the
0
(Off)

tion to switch off the LED.

Disposal
Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally
friendly manner and take it to a recycling centre.
Dispose of the article in an environmentally friendly man-
ner at a recycling centre for used electrical and electronic
devices. It should not be disposed of in the normal house-
hold waste. More information is available from your local
authorities.
The batteries should be removed prior to disposal of the
article and disposed of separately. To protect the environ-
ment, non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries must
not be disposed of with normal household waste, but must
be taken to suitable collection points. Also note the relevant
statutory regulations governing the disposal of batteries.
