troubleshooting
If the device is not working properly, please check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. Otherwise contact the customer service.
Do not attempt to repair a defective device yourself!
Problem
Potential cause / solution
The device is not
functioning.
•
Is the plug properly connected with the socket?
•
Is the socket defective?
Try another socket.
•
Check the fuse for your mains connection.
The LED blinks during use.
•
Blinking indicates that the device is approaching the
overload limit. Reduce the speed at which you are guide
the device.
The LED illuminates
continuously and the device
automatically deactivates.
•
The device is overloaded or jammed. The electronically-
controlled overload guard automatically deactivates
the device. Let the device cool off for approximately
10 minutes before you use it again.
The saw power is too low.
•
Is the saw blade dull?
Replace it (see chapter “Start-up”, section “Installing and
changing the saw blade”).
•
Is the saw blade suitable for the material?
If applicable, replace it (see chapter “Start-up”, section
“Installing and changing the saw blade”).
The saw is vibrating
considerably.
•
Is the saw blade warped?
Replace it with a new saw blade (see chapter “Start-up”,
section “Installing and changing the saw blade”).
•
Was the saw blade improperly mounted?
Make sure that the saw blade is properly seated (see
chapter “Start-up”, section “Installing and changing the
saw blade”).
