400 Air Purification System
Read all instructions before assembling your unit!
Assembly of Series 400 Air Purification System
Attention: If your unit has arrived damaged, notify the E.L. Foust Co., immediately
before shipping the unit back to us.
We will place a damage claim with the shipping
company and they will pick up your repacked unit, DO NOT DESTROY OR DISCARD
PACKING as the shipping company needs this to determine the cause of the damage. If
you follow these instructions, we will replace your unit at no charge to you.
The SERIES 400 AIR PURIFICATION SYSTEM is easily assembled and requires no
tools. You MUST follow these instructions exactly to insure proper operation of our unit.

Unpacking Instructions
First remove the diffuser lid. Then remove the protective insert that covers the unit.
Open the protective plastic cover and remove the unit from the box. Since the unit is
quite heavy, this may require assistance. Remove the cardboard insert from the unit
bottom, (caster end), and stand unit up on the casters. Remove the 2 wing nuts inside the
unit and the retaining strap across the filters. Remove the carbon media tray from the
cabinet and it’s bag. Save all shipping materials for possible future use.
Important:
DO NOT OPERATE THE SERIES 400 UNTIL YOU COMPLETE THIS
STEP:
At the bottom half of the unit is the pre-filter; remove the pre-filter first, and then remove
the metal grill by lifting it from the bottom and sliding it out. Once the filter and grills
are removed you will notice a piece of white foam protruding from the right side of the
blower motor assembly. REMOVE THE FOAM FROM THE BLOWER. For those
without the UV light, replace the metal grill by sliding it back into the unit following the
directions of the orange arrow stickers. Then replace the pre-filter.

UV Instructions
First remove the UV Light from the box, and remove the wing nuts on the connected
bolts. Attach the UV light to the plug with blue and white wires that is coming from the
unit. Once attached, remove the white tabs from the silver tape on the plug and wrap the
tape around the UV light base in order to secure it. Next, place the connected bulb into
the unit so that the two bolts fit through the two holes in the bottom of the unit. Secure
the bolts with the wing nuts. Push wiring inside and replace the metal grill and pre-filter
as directed above.
