• Apply blade to the object to be cut (wood) in as flat a position as possible and at the
spike bumper.
• Adhere to the safety instructions.
• Maintain the saw chain and bar.
• Tension the chain from time to time as necessary.
• Change the chain bar after an extended period of operation and when changing the
saw chain. This will compensate the wear of the slot on the cutting side bar.
Delimbing
Delimbing should only be performed by qualified and trained individuals. Ensure that no
one is within range of the falling branches, thereby ensuring that no one is endangered.
Shouting may be overheard due to the noise of the motor. Before you begin, the felling
direction and escape paths must be determined.
The following should be paid attention to in the process:
• Choose an area where the limb should be cut
• Pay attention to the natural gradient of the branches
• Pay attention to the direction of the wind and the wind speed (do not perform de-
limbing operations in the case of strong wind)
• Hanging direction
• Neighbouring trees and adjacent delimbing operations (the distance should always
be 2 1/2 tree lengths between working areas)
• Always determine the escape paths to be approx. 45° diagonal to the direction of the
felling direction. Ensure that the escape paths are free of obstacles. In the case of a
steep slope, the escape paths should be parallel to the slope.
Work safely, with consideration and caution
01. Always hold the pruner firmly and with both hands!
02. NEVER saw with the rail tip!
03. Use the saw to cut only wood and wooden objects!
04. Work with consideration and do not endanger anybody during cutting. Work calmly
and cautiously!
05. Work only if the visibility and lightning conditions are sufficient!
06. Observe the rail trip!
07. Should you work on a cut that has already been initiated, introduce the rail into the
cut with extraordinary care!
08. Work only with a sharp and well tensioned and lubricated chain!
09. Attach the hook stop of the chain safely!
10. Do not work on a ladder!
11. Work only on a rigid and stable base!
