IRMWARE
The Silhouette is operational via firmware pro-
grammed into the player. From time to time firm-
ware updates may be available and can be
installed on your player.
To perform the upgrade, you need the following:
•
Internet connection to download the firmware
to your computer,
• a blank CD-R or -RW and
• a CD writer to copy the firmware to a CD
which is then placed into the Silhouette.
Be sure to read all of the following instructions
before proceeding with the update.
When performing the update, a constant power
source is extremely important and power adaptor
usage is required.
CHECK VERSION
1.
When you turn on your player, you see an ani-
mated display while the player is loading music
into memory. The LCD also shows the current
firmware version number. Note this number.

Using your Internet browser, go to

FIRMWARE

Click on the Silhouette link and navigate to the
downloads section.
4.
On the download page, locate the next version
number.
