Adjusting Auto Accompaniment Volume
Starting the Auto Accompaniment

Adjust the volume of auto accompaniment.
Use the ACC.MUSIC buttons to adjust the volume of auto accompaniment.

Press MIXER to call up the Mixer menu.

Pressing both ACC.MUSIC buttons simultaneously will restore the default value.

Hold down an ACC.MUSIC button to quickly run through the values.

Alternatively, repeatedly press MOVE/ENTER to reach 'AC', then use the DATA buttons or DATA wheel to adjust the
volume.
There are three methods to start the auto accompaniment.

Start immediately
Press START/STOP to start the accompaniment immediately. Press START/STOP again to stop.
w
Start with an introduction passage
Press INTRO/END, then press START/STOP to begin the accompaniment with an introduction.

Fade in
The accompaniment may be initiated with a gradual fade in effect beginning from zero volume.
Press FADE before starting the accompaniment using the above methods. The button will turn on,
and when the accompaniment starts its volume will gradually grow from zero until reaching the full
volume, upon which the FADE button will turn off.
Basic and Variation Patterns
The auto accompaniment is based on a four-measure long sequence, of which there are two types:
the basic and variation.
Mixing up these patterns can greatly increase the impact of musical climax.
While an auto accompaniment is going on, press FILL2/SYNC button to enter the variation pattern
after a brief transitional sequence is played. Press FILL1/SYNC to return to the basic pattern, again
with a brief transition.

Basic pattern is intended for normal passages of a musical piece.

Variation pattern is intended for the musical climax, or refrain in case of vocal music.

These FILL buttons may be used just for the transition, or the FILL-IN effect to emphasize certain passages without
switching the ongoing pattern. For example, you may press FILL1/SYNC while on the basic pattern, which will play the
transition for the emphasizing effect, but not switch to the variation pattern afterwards.
