DISCONNECTING

FROM
THE
ELECTRONIC
UNIT
CONVERTER
1) Unplug the SMART from the outlet.
2) Cut the clamp « Band It » on converter side.
3) Remove the converter cover.
4) Cut the 3 connectors and unscrew the ground wire
5) Draw the hose of converter side , and unscrew the gland of the casing.
6) Clamp the vibrating element AN in a tube vice.
7) Cut the clamp "Band it" on AN side, then pull the red hose until the connectors appear.
8) Cut the thermo-insulating and disconnect the terminals.
9) Disconnect the ground wire from the nipple.

CONVERTER
1) Connect the earth wire on the poker nipple. Glue the poker screw with LOCTITE 243.
2) Connect the wires to the AN stator using connectors and thermo-insulating.
3) Slide the red hose above the wires close to the poker gland .
4) Fit the hose on the AN nipple using clamp "Band it".
5) Slide the wires inside the converter casing, through the gland.
6) Screw the gland and fit the hose on the converter casing nipple using clamp "Band it".
7) Connect the wires in the converter with new connectors.
8) Fit the converter to the cover.

DISASSEMBLY
1. Unscrew the reducer (4) from the stator tube (9) (right hand thread). The stator is glued inside the tube.
2. Remove the complete tube (3) with the end cap from the stator tube (9).
4. Remove the spring washer (16).
5. Slide and remove the rotor (6), excenter (5) and ball bearing (17)
6. Unscrew the gland (23) (right hand thread), and remove the rubber gasket (21).
7. Unscrew the nipple (7) (right hand thread).
8. Remove the bearing holder (10) in using a suitable rod and a mallet to push it gently.
ASSEMBLY
Proceed in the reverse order after cleaning all parts.
The damaged parts and the O rings should be changed systematically.
Fill the vibrating element with oil ( see « Maintenance/lubrication » for the type/quantity of oil).
