8.9.7 Replacing the starter rope

Protective equipment:

Park the machine in secured condition

Chapter 6.4

„Parking the machine in secured condition“ on page 55

Allow the engine to cool down.

Disassembling the recoil starter.

Pull the starter rope with the starter handle out completely.

If the starter rope has been torn or the coil has recoiled com-

pletely:

Before assembling the rope, turn the coil (2) 5 revolutions

in anti-clockwise direction and align the rope openings in

coil and housing (5) to one another (A).
