Level in the usual way, pour on the concrete and place your beam at the start of the first strip.

Fit the handle and adjust it to shoulder height using lever 6.

Before starting, spray diesel or shuttering oil on the beam to prevent it from sticking to the
concrete.

Start the engine (see below instructions).

Adjust the vibration to suit the fluidity of the concrete.

Position the handle over your shoulder so that the edge of the beam nearer you is slightly raised.

Pull slowly towards you and repeat, if necessary.

When smoothing the following strip, position the rule so that it overlaps the area already
smoothed by 15cm.
STARTING

Fill the engine tank with unleaded 95 octane gasoline .

Check that the throttle control is settled at idle position .
−
Check that stop button situated on the throttle lever is in the ON position .

If engine is cold closed choke lever .
−
Press the primary pump several time in order to ensure that return hose gasoline is fill .

Start the engine with a firm pull on the starter cord . Do not use excessive force and never pull
the cord out to its full length .

Let the engine warm up for a few minutes , open the choke if it has been closed .

Increase the engine speed tanks to the throttle lever situated on the RH operating handle . Then
the vibration will start .
STOPPING
- Set the throttle lever at idle position then the vibration will stop .
- Press the stop button situated on the RH operating handle until the engine has come to a complete
stop.
MAINTENANCE
Never use a high pressure cleaner to clean the beam.
Clean away the concrete which has been collected after each use.
Check the electrical equipment to see that it is undamaged and working well.
Repair any fault immediately. Check bolts and nuts tightening.
For the gasoline engine ,refer to the operator handbook for servicing.
