Slide the rear axle into the new rear wheel together with other hardware (and
make sure that all hardware follows the sequence in the illustration). Maneuver the
new chain onto the small sprocket of the motor first (see
fig. 7-1
, in which for the
purpose of clear illustration only, we have moved the right side rear fork away; there
is no need to actually remove the right rear fork to complete the repair), then slide
the rear wheel axle into the slots on the rear forks of the frame (see
fig. 7-2
), and
maneuver the chain onto the rear chain sprocket again (
fig. 7-3
).
8.
Refer to steps 2–3, and:
A:
Connect the brake housing anchor;
B:
Connect the brake cable anchor with
the cable
Note:
do not tighten them at this time.
Then, adjust chain tightness at this time
(see page 17).
9.
Tighten the rear axle with cap nut using a 12mm
and 17mm wrench from both side as shown.
10.
Press
the
brake
lever to
test the
brake’s function, adjust the the brake cable
for tightness, and use a 10mm wrench to
tighten the brake cable pinch bolt, ensure
that the 10mm nut is securely tightened.
