HANDLEBARS ASSEMBLY
A loose stem bolt can cause a loss of steering control and result in serious injury or death. The stem must be tight
enough for the wedge nut to bite into the inner surface of the steer tube.
NOTE:
The handlebar stem is pre-assembled to the handlebar at the factory.
1. Remove the protective cap from the wedge end of the stem.
2. Slip the dust cap onto the stem as the photo shows.
3. Insert the stem into the head tube so that the minimum insertion line on the stem body is not visible.
4. Face the stem forward directly in line with the front wheel and tighten the stem bolt securely.
