APPENDIX - NETWORK SETUP
■
Note before IP assignment:
1.
Make sure the IP Dome is powered on and connected to the network correctly.
2.
Request a unique IP address from your network administrator.
3.
Each IP Dome has unique Ethernet node address (MAC address), which is
recorded as 12 digits serial number labeled at the bottom side of IP Dome
(e.g. 000429xxxxxx).
4.
The IP address assigned to the IP dome cameras shall be the same IP domain
(presented as same subnet mask) as the PC IP address. For example, an IP
address of PC is 192.168.0.1 and the IP address of IP dome camera is
192.168.0.200, so the subnet mask shall be 255.255.255.0. If a PC subnet
mask is 255.255.255.128 or higher, then the domain can’t cover
192.168.0.200, so the setting won’t take effective.
5.
Users can use “IPInstaller.exe” application to quick setup the IP configuration
of IP dome.
■
Assign IP Address by
using “ARP” command under windows environment
Follow the instructions to assign new IP address to IP dome cameras by using
“ARP” command under windows environment:
1.
Open “command prompt” box from Microsoft Windows:
For
example:

→
MS-DOS Prompt>
2.
Make sure the assigned IP address for IP dome camera doesn’t be occupied
by other PC: (the example IP address is 192.168.0.200)
For
example:
Enter <ping 192.168.0.200> and make sure the response message is “time
out” message, in command prompt box.
