Initial Startup and Touch Screen Navigation
CAUTION:
Keep hands and fingers away from rotating parts of the machine. Do not remove any
safety guards or operate the machine without the safety guards.
IMPORTANT:
This apparatus was designed to run partially filled bottles for standard cell
culture applications. Consult DWK Life Sciences Technical Service staff for specific roller
apparatus needs.
First Time Startup
The first time the unit is ever powered on, the unit will be operating under stored factory default
settings. After a user inputs and saves new settings, the unit power can be cycled and the last saved
user settings will be retrieved when the power is turned back on. Saved user settings are bottle
speed, bottle rotation direction and time if in rocker mode, bottle speed tolerance, profile
identification number, ramp time, bottle diameter, motor gear ratio, and temperature low and high
alarm thresholds.
Initial Settings
Upon first time startup, the user should enter the bottle speed settings screen and pause the motor.
This will make sure the motor does not run at undesirable default values. Second, the user should set
the system date and time. Third, the user should input their desired values for the bottle diameter,
ramp time, temperature thresholds (optional), and profile identification number (optional). Fourth, the
user should run any necessary temperature calibrations (optional). Lastly, the user should un-pause
the motor.
If the unit has been started previously, users will not have to change any settings. Users can then
alter bottle speed settings as desired and monitor system power and alarms from the home screen.
Splash Screen
This screen is only displayed on power-up of the device and displays the software version.
