5-4. Using the sorting function
When using the DKT-K, you can make settings using the control panel of the DBM-600
(p.1-33)
or the PC
CONTROLLER so that sorting is made each time the specified number of booklets are ejected to the stacker.
You can use the DKT-K when the paper width is 120 mm/4.72 inches or more. If it is less than 120
mm/4.72 inches, the stacker will perform sorting for the booklets. When the processing speed is fast
or the stacker conveyance time is long, the space between the sorted booklets is narrow. Because the
booklets are stacked close to each other, it may be difficult to separate the booklets. In that case, make
the processing speed slower and shorten the conveyance time.
6. Adjusting the Stitcher Head
The stitcher head is adjusted at the factory before shipment. If the wire other than specified is
used, you need to adjust the stitcher head yourself.
6-1-1. Adjusting the stitch length
If the stitch on the booklet is long or short, adjust the length using the stitch length adjusting knob.

• Rotate the stitch length adjusting knob
clockwise to cut the wire short.
• Rotate it counterclockwise to cut it long.
• The length changes by about 0.8 mm/0.03
inch with each rotation.
6-1-2. Adjusting the left and right leg length
When the leg length of the stitch is not the same between the right and the left as shown in the figure, adjust
the length using the balance adjustment wheel.
