1 Introduction
Dear Customer:
Thank you very much for purchasing our product. We are confident that
it will meet your expectations and perform satisfactorily in your daily
routines.
The development, manufacture, and check of the radial fan has been
guided by our concern to offer a device characterized by superior opera-
tion safety and user-friendliness. The product was manufactured and
checked according to state-of-the-art technology and widely recognized
safety regulations.
1.1 Intended Use
The radial fan has to be used in EX-free areas and is intended exclusively
for the positive extraction of exhaust air from safety cabinets for stor-
age installed indoors. The product is suitable only for clean air and fluid
flows low in aerosols and not transporting any particles. The maximum
temperature of extracted medium, as applicable to the relevant plastic
material, is 70°C (158°F).
Only such substances are acceptable for extraction that do not compro-
mise the PPs enclosure and and the PP impeller.
Caution
The maximum acceptable temperature of the extracted fluid has
to be assessed also in relation to other materials in the extrac-
tion system, e. g. of suction and exhaust lines. The maximum
temperature when PVC is used, for instance, is 50°C (122°F).
Furthermore, only such places are acceptable for installation as
whose ambient conditions are in line with the requirements set
by the drive motor, according to its name plate. Its maximum
ambient temperature is 40°C (104°F). Said assessment has to
be carried out by one or more specialized staff. Accordingly, the
installation, too, shall be performed by or under the supervision
of specialzed personnel.
Caution
Any and all uses other than the above-described is prohibited
and may cause hazardous situations, potentially danger of
death, damage to the system and material property, and will
cancel any and all warranty and liability for the product on the
part of its manufacturer and distributor.
1.2 Occupational Safety
The installation and operation of the product must be performed in com-
pliance with any and all nationally applicable rules and regulations for
the storage of flammable liquids, the ISO 13857 standard, and any and
all other applicable codes and standards. The design of the product is
such that the fan blades are off-touch. Modifications to the enclosure
that may make the fan blades accessible to the touch when the unit is
in normal use are prohibited.
Caution
The product must never be used if not totally installed, with
properly set suction and exhaust hoses (to be sourced on
site). Electrical work on the product must only be performed
when the exhaust air monitor was previously switched off and/
or disconnected from power. For this, a maintenance switch
(to be sourced on site) is recommended. This also holds for
maintenance work on the product that is not electrical.
