Calls from remote stations are annunciated at the master station by an intermittent
tone and a flashing LED alongside the corresponding station’s pushbutton. The flash
and tone rates indicate the call’s priority. Emergency priority calls annunciate at a
faster rate than normal calls.
Calls can be answered using either the master station microphone or the handset.
Normal priority calls can be canceled at the master station; emergency priority calls
must be canceled at the originating station.
Using the Microphone/Speaker
1. Make sure the handset is in its cradle.
2. Press the numbered pushbutton next to the flashing LED. The indicator LED stops
flashing and remains lit.
3. To talk, press and hold the PUSH TO TALK button.
4. To listen, release the PUSH TO TALK button.
5. To end communication with that station, press its numbered pushbutton again.
The indicator LED on the master station goes out.
Note:
If private conversation is desired, the handset can be picked up at any time during
the call. To end the call, return the handset to its cradle.
Using the Handset
1. Remove the handset from its cradle.
2. Press the numbered pushbutton next to the flashing LED. The indicator LED stops
flashing and remains lit.
3. Talk into the handset as you would a conventional telephone receiver.
4. To end communication, either return the handset to its cradle or press the calling
station’s pushbutton again. The indicator LED on the master station goes out.
Note:
Emergency priority calls can only be canceled at the originating station by press-
ing the CANCEL touchpad.
