Chapter 1: Introduction 

The 

STP (Smart Terminal Plus) Lite

 is a user-friendly, general-

purpose GSM/GPRS cellular programmable controller. The

 STP Lite

 

can be used for a wide variety of purposes: agriculture, home 
automation, or security. The

 STP Lite

 accepts one digital input and has 

one dry-contact (relay) output.

 owes its name to the fact that it employs a minimal 

number of inputs and outputs. However, this poses no limitation on the 
range of uses for the
