Changing the high and low beam bulbs
Before replacing a burnt-out bulb, check that the new one
complies with voltage and wattage specified in the
“Electrical System” paragraph on page 115. Always check
that the new bulb works before refitting removed parts.
Figure 83 shows the position of the low beam (LO),
high beam (HI) and sidelight (1) bulbs.
Headlight
To gain access to the left-hand bulb, remove the cover (2)
by pressing the lever (A).
Rotate the locking ring nut (3) of the upper bulb body anti-
clockwise and extract the burnt-out bulb. Replace with a
bulb of equal rating.
On refitting, rotate the locking ring nut (3) clockwise to
secure the bulb in place.
The right-hand bulb is replaced in the same way.
