for SH-U01
All connections take place at the dashboard connector, see the image on the
second page.
Note that the pin positions shown on the image are the dashboard side, not
at the bike connector side.
The ABS system will not be affected in any way.
1)
Connect the SH Red wire to: #6, Ig
2)
Connect the SH Black wire to: #16, Ground -
3)
Cut the #10, Speed Sensor Signal wire, about 4cm away from the
dash connector.
4)
Connect the SH Green wire to the Signal wire end at the dash
connector side.
5)
Connect the SH White wire to the Signal wire end at the main wiring
harness side.
When the installation is done, do the SH signal test procedure as follows:
•
Have the ignition key OFF.
•
Press SEL and keep it depressed while you turn the ignition ON.
[t] (test) is now indicated. Release the button.
Check: The speedometer should indicate a steady number other than 0.
•
Move the bike back and forth so both wheels are turning.
Check: [t] should be blinking as the wheels turn.
Note: [t] appears on the display like an [E] without the top horizontal bar.
