Checking brake pads for wear 

(fig. 30)

Front brake

To facilitate inspection without removing the pads from
the calipers, brake pads have a wear mark. If the grooves
in the friction material are still visible, the pad is still in
good condition.

Rear brake

Friction material on each pad must be at least 1 mm
thick.

Important 

Have the brake pads replaced at your Ducati

dealer's shop or authorized workshop.

Throttle cable adjustment

The throttle twistgrip must have a free play of 2 - 4 mm,
measured at the edge of the twistgrip and at all positions
of the handlebars. If it needs adjusting, use the suitable
adjuster (1, fig. 31) provided on the throttle control.
