SECTION 7 - MAINTENANCE

CAUTION:
THE FOLLOWING PRECAUTIONS SHOULD BE TAKEN WHEN REPLACING
ANY BATTERIES:

REMOVE WATCHES, RINGS, ETC…
•
USE TOOLS WITH INSULATED HANDLES.
CAUTION:
USE RUBBER PROTECTIVE GLOVES WHEN HANDLING DAMAGED
BATTERIES.
WARNING
:
HIGH VOLTAGE IS PRESENT ON BATTERIES.
a. Semi-annual
i. Cabinet/Electronics
1. Inspect all fans and insure proper operation.
ii. Batteries/Battery
Cabinet
1. Inspect the battery cases for leakage.
2. Perform a battery load test of each individual battery.
a. Turn off the Battery Breaker
b. Using a Battery load tester connected to only one
battery test the battery and record the battery voltage
after a 5 to 10 second load test. The picture to the left
is an example of the type load tester that can be
used.
