6. OPERATION AND PROCEDURE
6.1. START-UP PROCEDURE
After making all power and grounding connections to the Emergency Lighting Inverter System; ver-
ify that all system breakers are set in the OFF position, and the Manual Bypass Switch (MBS) is in
the UPS Position.
Turn on the DC circuit breaker (CB2). Set the Input Breaker (CB1) to the “ON” position, and verify
that each of the following items takes place:
The fans come on.
The Processor perform a series of checks (These checks will be indicated by the display pan-
els cycling through their LED’s).
After the cycling of the LED’s, press the “On Key” (see Figure 7) until the unit gives a beeps.
6.2.
Press and hold the “Off Key” until the inverter beeps.
6.3. BATTERY RUN AUDIBLE ALARM
When the system is running on “Battery Backup” mode, the system will emit an audible alarm. The
alarm stops when the Emergency Lighting Inverter System returns to “Normal” mode operation. Press-
ing the “On/Test/Mute” key can silence the alarm during backup mode. In the backup mode the alarm
occurs every 4 seconds until low battery.
6.4. LOW BATTERY (RAPID ALARM)
In the “Backup” mode, when the energy of the battery is 5% - 10%, the system beeps rapidly until the
system shuts down.
NOTE:
The “Low Battery” alarm condition cannot be silenced.
