In an emergency
If, despite all safety precautions, a fire breaks out, alcohol-resistant foam or carbon
dioxide are suitable extinguishing agents.
It is urgently recommended that you keep an adequate extinguisher at hand close to
the fireplace.
Troubleshooting
Problem
Potential cause and solution
The bioethanol
does not ignite.
If the bioethanol in the fire compartment does not ignite after repeated
attempts, this may be due to a significant portion of the alcohol having
already evaporated thereby reducing its ignitability.-
Wait a few minutes, dispose of the bioethanol, which is still located in
the fire compartment, and then refill the fire compartment.
The flames
cannot be
extinguished.
The fire compartment cover does not close the opening of the fire
compartment properly. Open the fire compartment cover again and
then close it quickly, but without exerting an excessive amount of force.
In the event the flames still do not go out, repeat this step multiple
times if necessary as the flames are “cut off” in this way. Should this not
prove to be successful, close the fire compartment cover and allow the
fireplace with correspondingly reduced flames to burn for another 15
minutes before you again open the fire compartment cover and quickly
close it again.

In the case of fire alcohol-resistant foam or carbon dioxide are suitable
extinguishing agents.
It is urgently recommended that a fire extinguisher be kept handy.
