NOTE!
■
To use the device on laminate
fl
ooring, the following must be ensured:
–
The laminate must be properly laid and have no gaps or cracks into which moisture
could penetrate.
–
Test the device
fi
rst on an inconspicuous spot. Then check it for any waves or
ingress of moisture. If the test spot is unblemished, the device can be used to
clean the entire laminate
fl
oor.
■
Before using the device, always check the
fl
oor cloth for signs of wear. A
fl
oor cloth
that is worn or has holes in it must not be used. The
fl
ooring could be damaged.
■
If the device is parked after use, a wet spot may form beneath the cleaning foot.
With sensitive
fl
oors, a cloth should therefore be placed beneath the cleaning foot or
parking for a prolonged period of time should be avoided.
1. Give the
fl
oor a general sweep or vacuum before using the device.
2. Mount the handle bar (
B
) with the handle (
C
) and the cleaning head (
N
) on the main
unit (
A
). Attach the
fl
oor pad (
L
) to the cleaning head and, if you would like to clean a
carpet, the carpet glider (
O
) (see chapter “Assembling the appliance”).
3. Fill the water tank (
7
) (see chapter “Filling the water tank”).
4. In order to unwind the power cord, turn the top hook (
2
) of the cord spool down. Hang
the power cord in the cord holder (
3
) for better handling of the steam cleaner when
cleaning
fl
oors and so that you do not trip over the cord.
5. Turn the knob for the steam quantity control (
8
) to the
minimum setting by turning it counterclockwise until it
comes to a stop.
6. Park the appliance in an upright position. The hinge of the
